Marilyn “Tonie” Fielding Hawes

Marilyn “Tonie” Fielding Hawes of Lake Oconee passed away at Morgan Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.

Tonie was born on August 24, 1947 in Watkinsville, Ga. She spent her life as a homemaker and wife, and enjoyed gardening, decorating, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in October in Watkinsville.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” Hawes; daughter, Mandy Kimball Mercer and husband, Lin (Cordele), their two daughters, Emily and Audrey; brother, Larry Fielding and wife Sheila (Monticello), and niece Ashley (Duckett) Pope. She is also survived by niece Cheryl Keel, and nephews Joseph and Julius Hardegree.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to RESCUE ME GA, 902 W. Greene St. Monticello, GA 31064.
