Charles Dennis “Wojack” Wojcik
A celebration of life for Charles Dennis “Wojack” Wojcik will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 5 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church in Eatonton, with Rev. John McMillan, Sr. officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 5 p.m. at the church.
Dennis was born February 28, 1950 in Detroit, MI, and grew up in New Jersey and moved to Georgia in 1980. He ended up in the Jasper – Putnam County area 1986, where he was given the nick- name “Wojack.” He passed away July 23, 2015.
Wojack had several careers. He was a carpenter, worked at Georgia Pacific and served the Jasper County Community as a certified EMT and a volunteer Firefighter. Later he would supervise various bridge projects and the building of communication towers.
Wojack was a hard working man until his health declined. He loved his family and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He never met a stranger and loved the trips to Wooten’s Barbershop to be with friends. He gave his life to Christ and became a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Marie Wojcik, his parents, Anthony Wojcik and Kathron Wojcik Wentz, stepfather Charles Wentz, and two brothers, Kenneth Wojcik and Paul Wojcik; one sister, Gloria Wojcik Allgaier and a special buddy, Ben Tillman.
Survivors include two loving daughters, Jennifer (Travis) Wojcik of Monticello, and Krista (Jimmie) Wojcik of Eatonton, eight wonderful grandchildren; Keontay Card, Summer Victrum, Kamar Dumas, Kaylia Card, Gracie DeGarmo, Anthony Card, Kobi Wojcik, and Jayden Wojcik; two special sisters, Faye Mabry and Kathron (James) Wentz; one adopted brother, Chief Kent Lawrence, numerous buddies and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Association, The American Heart Association or Crossroads Baptist Church.
