Patricia Ann Rivers

Funeral services for Ms. Patricia Ann Rivers, 62, were held July 18, at Righteous Temple UPC of God, Inc. Bishop Charles Davis provided the eulogy.

She died July 14, 2015, with her family at her bedside at Spaulding County Hospital.

Patricia was born August 8, 1952 in Jasper County as an only child to the late Coleman Rivers and late Annie M. Smith. She was educated in the Jasper County School System, where she late became an employee.

She was affectionately known as “Trish” and was a loving mother and grandmother who had a happy soul. She loved people and serving the Lord. She attended Holy Nation Church in the early years and later joined Righteous Temple UPC.

Her husband, Sammy Lee Head, Sr., and a son, Sammy “Sambo” Lee Head, Jr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Patrick C. Head (Sherveca) of McDonough; daughter, Sandra P. Smith (Contrico) of Jenkinsburg; six grandchildren, Coddy, Corderrius, Kobe, Kaelin, Genesis, and Christian; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Carter-Head; numerous relatives and friends.
