Pauline Eason Wright

Pauline Eason Wright, age 97, of Shady Dale, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at The Retreat Nursing Home.

Pauline Wright was born in Bowden, Ga., to the late Melvin Eason and Ruth Kilgore Eason. She lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., for a number of years before moving to Shady Dale in 2002.

Before retirement, Pauline was the secretary to the commander of the Fort McPherson Base Hospital. She received 16 outstanding performance awards during her employment.

While raising her children, she encouraged and helped them to pursue and achieve their passions. She loved to read, and listen to Kenneth and Rusty play and sing to her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Barry Wright; and sister, Amonell Jones.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Lynn Wright of Shady Dale; and daughter, Janet Allen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Phyllis and Rick Kennedy, Jim and Carrie Allen, Rusty Wright, and Kenny and Ashley Wright; great-grandchildren, Blake Rankin, Josh Allen, and Evan Allen; and step-great-grandchild, Megan Clark.

A grave side service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2015, at College Park Cemetery in College Park. Rev. David Artessa will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the charity of one’s choice.
