John Alexander

A Celebration of Life for John Alexander will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Grove Baptist Church, 527 New Bethel Church Road, Monticello. The Rev. Lucious Solomon, pastor, will deliver the eulogy.

John Alexander, a native of Monticello, was born on May 27, 1945 to the late George and Mary Lizzie Alexander of Monticello, GA. He was called home on July 1, 2015.

John attended Jasper County Training School in Monticello. He was employed with the L.O. Benton, III, family until his health began to decline. He was a faithful member and usher of New Bethel Grove Baptist Church.

John was preceded in death by his parents: George and Mary Lizzie Alexander, a brother, Willie George Alexander. two sisters, Ella Mae Alexander and Rose Lee Alexander Adams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Annie Kate Alexander-Little of Monticello, five godsons; Berry, Tyrone, Abe, Andrew, and Anthony, one goddaughter, Angela Childs of Jackson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
