Donna Renee Dent Chenault

Donna Renee Dent Chenault, age 51, of Shady Dale, passed away on July 4, 2015, from complications from a heart attack at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.

Donna Chenault was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter. She was born on November 3, 1963, in Montgomery, Ala., to John H. and Betty Carter Dent. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Kevin Chenault; mother, Betty Carter Dent; and sister, Susan Lee Adams.

She is survived by her daughters Tabitha Chenault (Matt) Barber of Montgomery, Ala., and Loral Chenault (Jay) Sayre of Dothan, Ala.; granddaughter, Brenna Elizabeth Barber; father, John H. Dent of Shady Dale; brother, John Timothy Dent of Boston, Mass.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Felicia and Bob Feerst; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. She is also survived by aunts, Rachel Spires and Ruth Dent (John) Tyson and uncles, Jerry Carter and Charles Carter.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Providence Baptist Church in Shady Dale. Rev. Charles Carter and Rev. Ed Westbrook officiated.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Barber, Jay Sayre, Randall Martin, Bradley Martin, Jonathan Pitcher, Tom Venne, Larry Champion, and Fletcher Bryan.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Providence Baptist Church P.O. Box 15, Shady Dale, GA 31085.
