Recreation Baseball Winds Down

The Jasper County Recreation Department (JCRD) summer baseball/softball season draws to a close with state playoffs around the corner.

The 2015 Mite Baseball (10-Under) team lost during district play last week to both Greene County and Morgan County. The 2015 Junior Baseball (14-U) team also lost in district play last week to Putnam County.

However three teams will head to state playoffs next week. The 2015 Midget Softball (12-Under) team will travel to Adel-Cook County for its first game Tuesday, July 7 against Berrien County beginning at 8 p.m.

Also, the 2015 Flea Baseball (7-8 year olds) team travels to Morgan County for its first game Wednesday, July 8 against Irwin County beginning at 6:45 p.m. on Apple South Field.

The 2015 Midget Baseball (12-Under) team will travel to Jeff Davis County for its first game on Wednesday, July 8 to play the winner of the Jeff Davis vs. Wilcox County contest beginning at noon.
