Frances Pearl Alexander

Frances Pearl Alexander, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on March 17, 2015 in Melbourne, Fla.
She was born Frances Pearl Walberg on February 15,1921 in Kearny, New Jersey. On March 3, 1942 she married Waitman E. (Al) Alexander and they shared 72 precious years together. She embraced her role as wife and mother and put others needs before her own.
When the family moved to North Miami Beach, Fla. in 1955, she enjoyed golf, bowling and was an avid swimmer. She loved playing games with family and friends. She was happiest when everyone was together and loved family gatherings.
Pearl and Al moved to Turtle Cove in Jasper County in 1975 were they enjoyed their retirement for over 30 years. Pearl loved to travel and she and Al enjoyed their many trips including a two month train trip through Europe. She was a long time member of Saint Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Jackson.
Pearl is survived by her children, Nancy Oates (Nathaniel) of Covington, Barbara Alexander of Toledo OR. Waitman Alexander Jr. (Kathleen) of Melbourne, FL. Thomas Alexander (Bunny) of Stone Mountain. and Francis Timothy Alexander of Monticello. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Rose Walberg of Toms River, N.J.. and brother Thomas Joseph Walberg of Mansfield; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Waitman Alexander, her parents Arthur G. and Marie Walberg, her brothers, Arthur Walberg, Jr. and Francis Walberg and sister, Marilyn Hartman.
A mass celebrating her life was held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL. on April 29, 2015.
