Several Are Sentenced in Court

Judge Hugh V. Wingfield presided over the Jasper Superior Court motion day calendar session Tuesday morning.

During that court session Charles Wayne Sanders was sentenced for two separate criminal acts. He was sentenced to two years in confinement and eight years on probation for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and theft by receiving stolen property and fined $1,000.

On the second case, Mr. Sanders received 12 months probation for carrying a weapon without a license, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended, failure to register vehicle, and no proof of insurance and was also fined $1,000.

Also, sentenced was Kimberly Sue Barber to 12 months of probations for possession of marijuana and hindering apprehension of a criminal and fined $500.

Probation revocations/modifications included:

Rodriquez Deonta McGuire, 90-120 days in probation detention center for failure to report to probation office, failure to complete community service, and failure to pay court fines.

Gregory Garnett Robinson, 90-120 days for failure to report to jail for transport to detention center.

Cameron Ray Slayman, 90 days in jail with reduction to 60 days upon payment of $130 for failure to pay court fines, complete community service, and positive drug test.

Melissa Shurae Moon, 30 days in jail with reduction to 15 days upon payment of $200 for failure to report to probation office, failure to pay court fines, and failure to complete court ordered evaluation.

Jonathan Andre Sims, 60 days in jail suspended upon payment of $400 within two weeks for failure to make payments and driving without a valid license.

Mark Eric Fisher, Jr., given 15 days to pay $491 or serve 30 days in jail for failure to pay court fines.
