SOCCER SCHOLARSHIP

Katelin Villareal (seated, center) received a scholarship to play soccer at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville. She signed the papers with the school last Thursday at Jasper County High School from which is graduating.

With Katelin are her mother, Michell Abner (seated, left), and GMC Coach Courtney Morgan. School officials taking part include (standing, left to right) Buddy Cain, Liz Hughes, Amanda Paulk and Doug Huff. “We are very excited for Katelin. We cannot wait so see her play in college but we will certainly miss her! We were lucky to have her play this year for us,” said Ms. Paulk.

“I’m very proud of all of her accomplishments this year with this scholarship being the crowning achievement,” said Mr. Cooper, the other local soccer coach.
