Several Are Arrested

Jasper County deputies responded to several reports of burglary in the last week, across the county. Two reports of theft by taking were reported in the city of Monticello, and another was reported on Jackson Lake Road, in Turtle Cove, and in Alcovy Shores. In addition a stolen vehicle was reported on Hwy. 142 in Newborn.

Deputies and investigators are also investigating a report of fraudulent use a credit card, reported at a Newborn address, and a financial identify fraud report in Monticello. They also are looking into a call where there was reportedly a theft by receiving stolen property.

Several people were arrested and booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week, and they include:

•Michael Jason Beatenbaugh, 34, Covington—financial transaction card fraud and financial identity fraud.

•Arrico Martell Williams, 27, Newborn—probation violation.

•Britt Scott Knight, 28, Oxford—speeding and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Bobbie Joe Hill, 28, Oxford—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Shay Palmer Shelton, 42, Covington—probation violation.

•Charles Fredrick Willis, 52, Eatonton—probation violation.

•Michael Allen Loftis, 25, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and failure to maintain lane.

•Spencer Chase Fidler, 25, Conyers—no insurance, open container of alcohol and driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Hadley Luke Jackson, 33, Monticello—disorderly conduct.

•Bradley Wayne Biddy, 18, Monticello—cruelty to children and battery.

•Brian Lawrence Daniel, 31, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Lois Marie Gignac, 51, Oxford — public drunkenness.

•Shirley Wise Benton: 55, Monticello—public drunkenness.

•Michael Todd Hallas, 24, Shady Dale—criminal trespass and simple battery.

•Tyler Grant Loveless, 23, Fayetteville—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, open container of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Harlan Wesley Duvall Jr., 23, Shady Dale—disorderly conduct.

•Clayton Elisha Besley, Jr., 25, Monticello—probation violation.

•Dannie Lee Brown, 30, Covington—hold for warrant in Rockdale County.

•James Ronald Humphrey, Jr., 46, Griffin—hold for warrant in Henry County.
