William “Bill” Avant

William “Bill” Avant, age 74, of Snellville, GA, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015.

Mr. Avant was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie W. and Margaret Lynch Avant and daughter, Shannon Michelle Avant.

He is survived by his wife, Wylene; daughter, Crystal (David) Till; grandsons, Joshua and Elijah Till; brother, Pierce Avant; sisters, Cheryl (Tommy) Hadaway and Janice (Charles) Lane; several nieces, nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

William “Bill” Avant was born in Jones County, GA to parents Ollie and Margaret Avant. He graduated from Monticello High School and attended West Georgia College.

He worked for Atlantic Ice Company; Redd & Baldwin; Bill and his business partner owned Avant and Donald, Real Estate and ADCO Rentals. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Snellville, Snellville Masonic Lodge and was also a member of the Shrine.

The funeral service to honor the life of William “Bill” Avant will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Hill Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
