Soccer Boys Win Big

The Hurricane boy’s soccer team, coached by Michael Cooper, beat the Bleckley boys’ team 7-0 last week in a home match at Rose Bowl field.

Kelly Jaramillo scored 2 goals with 1 assist; Jose Luis also scored 2 goals and had 2 assists. Zach Daniel scored 1 goal with 1 assist, while Noe Ortiz scored 1 goal with 1 assist, and Brice Crawford scored 1 goal.

An outstanding defense was led by Luis Perez, Daniel Benton, A.J. Garcia, Fernando Nunez, with Alex Mendoza, Sean MCallum and Glendon Graybill as substitutes. Noe Ortiz, Niall Alhasi and Jose Luis were the staring midfield players, showing diversity and composure in their organized play and were ably subbed by Giovanni Gonzales, Jacob Brady, Mario Garcia, Sergio and Marcos Moore.

Alejandro Jaramillo was effective as goal keeper with Daniel Darity subbing in for a shutout.
