Several Sentenced on Motion Day

A review of the motion day calendar in Jasper Superior Court Tuesday morning was brief under the jurisdiction of Judge William A. Prior.

Michael P. Watson had his sentence reduced on two charges of child molestation to 15 years with the first eight years are to be served in confinement while given credit for time served since August 2013.

Agustin Cano was sentenced to one year on probation for a guilty plea to the charge of pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.

Four probation revocations include:

James Grindle, to serve 30 days in jail for committing new offense of disorderly conduct in Walton County in November 2014.

Timothy Mannor, revoked balance of probation to jail for new offense of theft by taking in February 2015.

Jorda Clements, to serve 90 days in jail for providing non-existent address, failure to make payments and complete community service hours.

Malcom Jamal Smith, to enter probation detention center for 60-90 days for new offense of obstruction of an officer and drug possession.
