Katherine Rogers

Katherine Rogers, 93, of Eatonton passed away at her residence on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015.

Katherine was born in Newborn, Ga., on July 4, 1921 to the late Troy Lee and Ludie B. Thomason Henderson. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Donald Rogers, and daughter, Gwen Haynes.

In her spare time Katherine enjoyed gardening, raising cattle and horses.

The service will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 2 p.m.; burial will follow at Eatonton Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Moon and husband Emory, five sisters, grandchildren Blake, Greg, and Jeff Johnson, Howard Hodges, Bo Haynes, Kelly Johnson, Duane Moon, 13 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
