MS Cougars Finish Season

Piedmont Academy’s Middle School basketball teams closed out the season Friday with boys earning a 43-31 home win against Briarwood.

An 11-point game by Connor Olson helped lead the Middle School Cougars while Dylan Coe added seven points and J.T. Webb and Owen Brady scored six. Piedmont led by a point after the first quarter and by three points at halftime. Holding a 27-23 after the third quarter, the Middle School boys then used a 16-8 run in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Browning Benton added five points while Tate Marks and Sam Wright both scored four.

The Middle School Lady Cougars were competitive in their game against Briarwood before falling 34-27. Jordan Camp paced the team with eight points, including four in both the second and fourth quarters.

Madison McCart added six points while Hailey Hooper scored five and Rylee Owens finished with four. Gracie Hunt added a basket in the third quarter.
