Several Are Arrested
No major criminal incidents occurred over the last week in Jasper County, although a few minor burglaries were reported, and a few criminals were arrested.
The worst burglary reported was that of a dirt bike from an address in the city of Monticello. A shoplifter was caught at the Family Dollar Store, and an I-phone was reportedly stolen from the lake area.
Those arrested included:
•Claude Lee Grier, Sr., 50, Jenkinsburg—child support.
•Ellis Lloyd Benton, 58, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.
•David Jason Greene, 39, Social Circle—probation violation.
•Kimberly Sue Barber, 43, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain lane, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
•Chelsea Leigh Labriola, 21, Monticello—simple battery.
•Kevin Dewayne Delee, 25, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•John Scott Austin, 54, Monticello—probation violation.
•Zachary Patrick Anderson, 18, Madison—obstruction of a law enforcement officer, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of alcohol by person under 21 years of age.
•Randy Eugene Deagle, 48, Monticello—disorderly conduct and simple battery.
•Anthony Heath Mock, 39, Myrtle Beach—hold for a warrant in Colquitt Co.
•Ross Alan Gasque, 18, Madison—obstruction of a law enforcement officer and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Odell Lamar Thurman, 31, Monticello—public drunkenness and loitering or prowling.
•Jerry Henry Brown, 33, Covington—probation violation.
•Ricky Jason Gilstrap, 35, Monticello—hold for warrant in Rockdale Co.
Also during the last week, deputies responded to 346 calls for service, including 142 checking location and 66 stopping suspicious person or vehicle.
