Few Arrests Are Made this Week

The Jasper County Sheriff’s office only investigated two burglaries in the past week, and one was the theft of prescription drugs by a known person, while in the other burglary, numerous personal items were taken.

Persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center this week, and their charges, included:

•Jeffrey Dalton Roberts, 21, Monticello—theft by taking (2 counts).

•Michelle Lynn Webb, 35, Alpharetta— theft by receiving stolen property and use of license plate to misrepresent identify of vehicle.

•Robert Wayne Smith, 55, Monticello—simple battery.

In Jasper County Magistrate Court his week, warrants were also taken for Barry Keith Webb of Monticello who is facing numerous counts, including theft by receiving stolen property, acquiring license plat for purpose of concealing identity of vehicle, reckless driving, fleeing/attempt to elude, obstruction of a law enforcement officers, and habitual violator.

There were also warrants for Kasey Nicole York of Cobb, Ga., who is charged with reckless conduct, battery, cruelty to children, aggravated assault, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Lastly, there were warrants for battery and cruelty to children for Steven Kelly Brownleee of Monticello.
