Mildred Louise Gainey Minter

Mildred Louise Gainey Minter, age 84, of Macon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon.

Mildred Minter was born in Chipley, Fla., to the late Neal Gainey and Cora Wilson Gainey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Minter; and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Williams and Patricia Williams of Chattanooga, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Williams Brand and John Brand of Macon; grandchildren, Suzanne and Randy Poland of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Jeremy and Amy Brand of Macon; great-grandchildren, Bailee Poland Jones, Justin Poland, Jared Poland, and Michael John (M.J.) Brand; and sister, Fleda Barrow of Macon.

A graveside service was to be held Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at West View Cemetery. Pastor Joe Bowker of Berean Baptist Church in Macon, where Ms. Minter attended will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made through the GideonCard Program in Memory of Mildred Minter.
