MS Cougars Win Again

The Piedmont Academy Middle School football team notched another victory last week defeating Windsor 42-14 on the road.

“Our defense played extremely well, only giving up one score in each half,” said coach Alvin Hawkes. “Offensively, our ground game really came alive.”

Dalton Whitley scored four touchdowns from his fullback position and Owen Brady and Dylan Coe also found the endzone. Connor Olson, Dylan Coe and Trent Coots each had two-point conversions.

“On defense, our linebackers, ends and linemen kept their ground game in check,” Hawkes said. “Windsor’s two scores came on long pass plays.”

Payton Wallace helped Piedmont’s defensive effort with a second half interception.

“Overall, I am proud of the effort that our team is putting in,” Hawkes said. “We have learned a tremendous amount and will continue to work hard in preparation for Bethlehem Christian this week.”

The Middle School Cougars are now 2-2 overall for the season.
