Tailgate Rally Set Thursday

The Monticello–Jasper County Chamber of Commerce and Monticello Downtown Main Street are sponsoring a Tailgate Rally next Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., on the Square.

The rally encourages residents to bring their families to the Square and enjoy dinner and fun and watch the Hurricane homecoming parade.

Glow sticks, sparklers and balloons will be provided to add to the festive atmosphere.

Families may pack a picnic dinner or pick one up from any of the local restaurants, which include Big Chic, Corner Cafe, Dairy Queen, Dave’s BBQ, Deptula’s, El Giro Mexican, Frank’s Restaurant, Ingles Deli, Lakeview Restaurant, McMichael’s Pizza, Pizza Wings & Things, Pop’s BBQ, or Subway.
