Demontae Omari Fears
Services for Demontae Omari Fears, 12, were held Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Covington.
He died September 5.
Demontae was born October 23, 2001 in Decatur to Demond and Patricia Fears. He was known and loved by many and his love, kindness, and generosity was seen by all. Demontae was always willing to help others whether it was helping Granddaddy (John Henry Pope, Sr.) cut the grass, helping Paw-Paw (Marvin Fears) stack wood on the porch, or helping his aunties move their furniture around. He amazed everyone with his strength and his smile.
Demontae enjoyed playing video games, playing and watching football, basketball, and watching wrestling. He liked cars of all kind, in his younger years he collected matchbox cars and as he got older he admired sport cars especially the Dodge Charger and the Chevy Camaro.
The Indian Creek Middle School student was a big kid at heart who loved playing with his friends and cousins. He will be greatly missed.
