BRUCE HENRY

Jasper County Commissioner Bruce Henry has announced his re-election campaign to serve the people of the 2nd District for a full, four year term.

Regarding his service on the commission, Mr. Henry said, “Serving the people of Jasper County has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I humbly ask for you vote on November 4 to continue the work we have begun.”

For more than 25 years, Mr. Henry has been a part of the community and his experience has given him the tools necessary to serve Jasper County. After more than 18 years in furniture manufacturing, he transitioned to the hospitality industry working in the hotel business.

For the last 14 years, Mr. Henry has been working with students in the housing department at Kennesaw State University.

Not only has he served the residents of District 2, he has served Jasper County as a whole. While there have been tough decisions that have had to be made within the past two years, Bruce has served with integrity and principle.

When asked about his focus if elected for another term, Commissioner Henry said “…bringing new jobs and industry means we can lift some of the property tax burden off the hard working men and women of Jasper County. I have been and remain committed to bringing new industry to improve the quality of life for our citizens. I want our home to be a place that our children and grandchildren can thrive. I do not want them to have to leave our community to make a living.”

He also maintained his commitment to public works as an essential part of county government. County roads and bridges remain a focus and while there’s still work to be done, he believes they are making progress. He also believes the men and women in Jasper County’s public safety departments must be a priority.

Commissioner Henry said, “Residents of our community must be safe and secure and during my time as your commissioner I’ve worked to

make sure they have what they need to safely serve our community.”

Commissioner Henry and his wife, Helen, live in the heart of the Second Commission District with their granddaughter LeeAnn.
