Ice Bucket Challenge Accepted

The staff at Hamilton State Bank took the Ice Bucket Challenge last week to raise awareness and funds for ALS, a disease that took the life of Kim McMicheal’s mother, Betty Brady. They challenged the Bank of Monticello, First Franklin Financial and The Monticello News to take part in the challenge. The Bank of Monticello did, and was featured in last week’s Monticello News along with Hamilton.

The staff of First Franklin Financial accepted the challenge from Hamilton, and Tania Gotel, Sherry Moss and Sanquenisha Rockmore (top photo, left to right) doused themselves in ice water Friday. They challenged Monticello Drugs, Farmers Furniture & Pop’s BBQ to take the challenge.

The staff of The Monticello News wasn’t together until Tuesday of this week, when they took the challenge. They included Susan Jacobs, Kathy Mudd, Jenny Murphy and Victoria Lawrence. They encouraged everyone to donate to ALS, and challenged the staff at Ingles to take part in the ice bucket challenge.
