Probation Is Revoked for Several

Several individuals had their probation revoked during Tuesday’s criminal motion day session presided over by Judge Trenton Brown, III at the Jasper County Courthouse.

Action taken included:

Steven Kelly Brownlee, simple battery, family violence offense, to serve 30 days in jail, and pay $400 in fines.

Samuel Ross, failure to report to probation officer and attend administrative hearing in addition to being in arrears in fees, to serve 30 days in jail and pay $1,500 upon release or be remanded back to jail or detention center.

Natasha Chatman, failure to make probation payments, balance revoked to jail to be suspended upon payment of $1,343.

Daniel Smith, prior offense of DUI in February 2014 and offense of DUI and driving while license suspended in May 2014 and has failed to report to probation officer and make timely payments, balance revoked to the jail.

Terrell Eugene Stinson, possession of firearm by convicted felon June 2014 and tested positive for drugs in July 2014, balance revoked to jail.

Benjamin Lee Perkins, failure to make timely payments, failure to attend court ordered alcohol and drug evaluation, failure to attend risk reduction program all for reckless driving offense in August 2013. Defendant given to August 5, 2014 to complete terms of probation if not report to jail to serve balance of 12 month sentence.

Michelle Hart, failure to make timely payments and failure to attend and complete court ordered family violence intervention program for August 2013 offense of battery and obstruction., 15 days of sentence revoked and served in jail with remaining balance to be terminated upon release.

Jayson Lamion Hogan, for offense of identity fraud in September 2013 failed to report to probationer, balance revoked to state penal system.

Greg Deonte Norwood, failure to make timely payments and failure to attend court ordered family violence program for November 2013 battery and criminal trespass offense, ordered to pay $124 per week until paid in full and given 30 days to enroll in family violence program.

Justin Cooper Singeletary, failure to provide urine specimen for analysis, failure to report to probation officer, and failure to perform community service, to serve 30 days in jail.

A case for Jason Matthew Ratzel was continued and Francis Leverette failed to appear. Also several divorce and child support cases were reviewed.
