Several Thefts Are Reported

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to five reports of theft over the last week, with the outdoorsmen being hit the hardest.

Thomas David Clack of a Loganville address reported the theft of two kayaks, two life vests, and two double oar paddles from a location in the Oconee National Forest near Concord Church Road.

Likewise, Jesse James Holman of Monticello reported the theft of fishing rods and reels, tackle bags and tackle. The incident occurred on Industrial Park Road in Monticello. Three other thefts scattered about the county were also reported. A resident on Dolly Drive in Monticello reported the theft of a weed eater from his home.

A resident on Blue Heron Drive also reported a burglary of several pieces of jewelry from her home.

Lastly, a resident on Jackson Lake Road reported the theft of a garbage can.

The sheriff’s department also reported a number of arrests in the last week. They included:

•Samuel Barron Ross, Jr., 23, Macon—probation violation.

•Terrell Eugene Stinson, 51, Shady Dale—probation violation.

•Willie Cornelius Davis, 41, Jenkinsburg—Jasper County Superior

Court bench warrant.

•Christopher James Christian, 23, Monticello—interference with custody and false statements and writings.

•Jayson Lamion Hogan, 34, Shady Dale—probation violation.

•Jason Gregory Chambers, 47, Covington—theft by taking.

•Faaruwq Abdullah Muhammad, 30, Monticello—theft by receiving stolen property, no brake lights, no drivers license on person and driving while license expired.

•Kenneth Dewayne Temple, 37, East Point—hold for warrant in Jones County.

•Jessie Lee Jones, 26, Eatonton—child molestation.

•Andre Jerel Thomas, 31, Monticello—driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

•Willie Charles Driskell, 49, Monticello—child support.

Also, during the past week, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources had one arrete in the county. That was Loris Rudy Jacobs, 66, of Monticello, and he was charged with operating a vessel under the influence of alcohol and improper lights.

In addition, the Georgia State Patrol made one arrest in Jasper County over the last week. Arrested was Randy Bernard Hunter, 58, of Monticello, and he was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and headlight violation.
