Sarah Elizabeth Biggers Luke

Sarah Elizabeth Biggers Luke, age 98, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at her residence.

Elizabeth Luke was born in Buchanan, Ga., to the late Starling Biggers and Effie Howard Biggers. She was a member of the Monticello Presbyterian Church. She and her late husband, Quitman Luke, worked side-by-side at the Monticello Trading Post.

Along with her husband and parents, Elizabeth Luke was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Luke.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Joyce Wallace of Monticello, and Faye Lucas of Wildwood, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Beverly Luke of Plano, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Jenifer and Jud Kirksey, Pam and Stacy Edge, Keith and Hilary Lucas, Stacey Lucas, Teri and Scott Sandy, Lori Zand, and Deni Luke; great- grandchildren, Matt Jackson, Bradley Jackson, Carisa Sandy, Tasha Zand, Frank Dumas, III, Garrett Kirksey, Chasen Edge, Baylor Edge, and Harmony Lucas; and sister and brother, Betty Vaughn of Griffin, and Stanley Biggers of Fitzgerald.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Monticello Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held in West View Cemetery. Rev. Rindy Trouteaud will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Crane, Anthony Stevens, Richard Luke, Randy Weitman, Dan Edge, and Alan Vaughn.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014, at Jordan Funeral Home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Monticello Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 308, Monticello, GA 31064; or the charity of one’s choice.
