CRASH

This damaging fender bender occurred last Thursday afternoon when the Jasper County building inspector vehicle, traveling north on Church Street, attempted to cross over a busy West Washington Street where the red light had heavy traffic backed up beyond Church Street.

The county vehicle collided with a blue compact Toyota causing some serious front end damage, as witnessed by the photographs shown. The driver of the Toyota was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital but no serious injuries have been reported.

A Georgia State Patrol trooper responded to the scene, per protocol, but was not able to provide an official report of the accident prior to press time due to technical difficulties.

Jasper County Sheriff Office and Monticello Police Department arrived on the scene prior to the GSP trooper.
