Mrs. Lucile Kelly

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucile Kelly, 94, of Monticello will be held today, June 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Griggs Chapel AME Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died June 21.

Mrs. Kelly was born May 4, 1920 to late Mr. Jeff Gantt and Mattie Gantt of Monticello.

At an early age she joined Griggs Chapel A.M.E Church where she was in the choir and also served as missionary treasurer which she served faithfully until her health failed. She always had a smile and a kind word to say.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Clarence Kelly.

She was the youngest of seven siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories devoted nieces Lakeysha Wright, Barbara Gantt, Teresa Gantt, Sylvia Boykins, and one nephew, Bernard Wright, several more nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and a special friend, Ms. Ann Fitzpatrick.
