Burglaries Are Reported
Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated several reports of burglaries during the last week.
In one instance, an accident was called in, and the car ended up being a vehicle stolen from the Atlanta area.
In the other instances, there were two reports of home being broken into, and one report of an air conditioning unit being stolen. The homes with forced entry were located on Blue Heron Drive and on County Line Road.
Also during the week of June 10-17, several people were arrested by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. They included:
•John Daniel Wood, 34, Shady Dale—failure to register as a sex offender.
•Julius Lamar Martin, 30, Riverdale—probation violation.
•Nichole Lee Lewis, 27, Milledgeville—probation violation.
•Ricky Nelson Perry, 50, Augusta—probation violation.
•Thomas Robert Anderson, Jr., 30, Monticello—possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

•Steven Kyle Camp, 19, Shady Dale—battery.
•Haley Leigh Cline, 19, Shady Dale—battery.
•Christian David Estes, 18, Mansfield—simple battery.
•Christopher Derrick Howard, 28, Monticello—probation violation.
•Steven Kelly Brownlee, 42, Monticello—simple battery.
•Jerry Henry Brown, 32, Mansfield—probation violation.
•Richard Wayne Causey, 45, Mansfield—probation violation.
During the same period, the Department of Natural Resources reported the arrest of Wesley Theron Clark, Jr., 24, of Jackson and charged him with boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs and jumping wake within 100 feet of a vessel.
During the same period, the Monticello Police Department was responsible for three arrests:
•Lucious Marcus Odom, 28, Monticello—aggravated assault and cruelty to children third degree.
•Patrick Wesley Odom, 21, Monticello—obstruction of an officer.
•Austin Damiean Dunlap, 20, Monticello—probation violation.
The Odoms were charged after a firearm was discharged near a home in the city, and police were called. Only one shot was fired, according to officer Elkins, and it was the result of some contention between several young folks. No other information was available at press time, and official warrants had not been taken as of Wednesday morning. They were being held in the jail on the charges listed above.
