102 Graduate from Jasper County High School

One hundred two students graduated from Jasper County High School last week in commencement exercises Friday at Rose Bowl field.

Aaron Newton gave the salutatory address, and Thomas Boose gave the valedictory address.

Numerous students were recipients of scholarships which were announced at the senior awards ceremony before graduation and listed in the graduation program.

Mr. Boose received the G.E. Foundations scholarship, the Pepsi Co. scholarship, the Simplex Grinnell scholarship, and the TE Connectivity scholarship; Casey Elias earned the ABAC academic scholarship and the Walmart dependent scholarship. Bree Chambers and Claire Cunard got art scholarships, and Mr. Newton got the band boosters scholarship.

Courtney Smith received the Campbellsville University academic scholarship, Justin Bently got the FFA alumni scholarship, and Joseph Caldwell received the Hurricane Football Booster Club scholarship, and Gracie Cummings and Aubrey Wyatt received the Jaskson Lake Homeowners Association scholarships.

Beth Hart was the recipient of the John Demette Standifer FBLA scholarship; Morgane Rice got the Kenny Mo scholarship, and Alexis Evers received the Turtle Cove Woman’s Club scholarship.

Emery Cline and Taylor Garrett received scholarships as previously reported.

HOPE scholarship recipients included Haylee Batson, Thomas Boose, Justin Bradley, Katlin Brennan, Chase Caron, Jacob Carr, Bree Chambers, Ashton Chapman, Emery Cline, Gracie Cummings, Nora Dahod, Casey Elias, Alexis Evers, Uriel Garibay, Heather Harrison, Samantha Lee, Jade Massey, Kaitlan Needham, Aaron Newton, Maggie O’Kelley, Brittany Pittman, Autumn Pope, Riley Powell, Taylor Powell, Jasmine Primas, Madison Simons, Dean Smith, DeAndre Stokes, Samantha Tally, Allyric Usher, Tierra Whitlock, James Wiles, and Shelby Wilkins.
