Ms. Brenda J. Kinney

Ms. Brenda J. Kinney, age 63, of Sparta, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home Chapel of Milledgeville with Rev. Berry Wren officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmount Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta.

The family will be at the funeral home today, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

Ms. Kinney was a lifelong resident of Hancock County and attended school there. She was the daughter of the late William L. and Doris Hutchins Kinney and was preceded in death by a sister Sara Jane Cason and nephew John Howell, III. Ms. Kinny graduated from Clarkesville Vocational Technical School as a Master Beautician, retired from United Security Bank (Ameris) after 34 years of service, and was a member of Fairmount Baptist Church.

Survivors include sisters Pat (John) Whitman of Monticello, Hilda (Ray) Toulson of Mitchell, and Rosalie Howell of Augusta; brother-in-law Dean Cason of Milledgeville; aunt, Fannie DeVeau of Sparta; nephews, Sidney (Teresa) Womack, Tim (Stephanie) Womack, Bobby Ray (Donna) Toulson, Marvin (Laura) Toulson, David (Susan) Toulson, Phillip (Dawn) Howell, and William (Mary Catherine) Cason; and niece Teresa (Wayne) Wallace.
