Jasper County Arrests Man for ‘Molly’

After encountering a suspicious vehicle on Monday, April 7, on Jackson Lake Road, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) arrested Andre Prevost, 22, of an Atlanta address and charged him with possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute.

After a short investigation, the deputies discovered that Mr. Prevost, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of a significant amount of the suspected drug referred to as “Molly” along with digital scales, baggies and prepackaged pills.

Sheriff Donnie Pope requested that the community raise their awareness of this drug, which has gained popularity among young people and is most prominent in the all-night-party scene. He also encouraged anyone with information concerning illegal drugs, or criminal activity of any kind, to call the anonymous tips line at 706-468-JCSO.
