Probation Is Revoked
Jamel Whitlock, who was on probation for the charges of forgery in the first degree and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in February of 2012, was back in Superior Court Tuesday, with Judge James L. Cline, Jr., presiding.
Mr. Whitlock was found to have violated the conditions of his probation via the new charges of testing positive for drugs, moving without permission of parole officer, failure to report and failure to pay fines and fees. He was sentenced to spend the remainder of his probationary period (two years, 10 months and six days) in confinement in the state penal system and restitution of $1,143 to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

•Aaron Michaels, who was on probation for two counts of burglary in June of 2002, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges failure to report and failure to pay fines and fees. Mr. Michaels’ probation was revoked to spend the remainder of 14 months in the Department of Corrections, and upon completion, the case be terminated.
•William Smith, who was on probation for theft by receiving stolen property and removal of ID with intent to conceal in April of 2010, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of failure to report and failure to pay fines and fees. Mr. Smith’s probation was revoked to spend 90 days in the county jail and upon release return to regular probation.
•Francis Godfrey Leverette pled guilty to driving while his license was suspended, and was sentenced to 12 months with 10 days to serve and the remainder on probation with credit for time served.
•Hitesh Patel pled not-guilty to unauthorized use of a coin-operated gaming device.
•Elinor Lindsey Strouth pled not-guilty to two counts of deposit account fraud and livestock theft.
