Magistrate Court Produces Judgments
Jasper County Magistrate Court reviewed three civil court cases on June 13. The results were as follows:
•LoanSouth Finance vs. Floranda Rooks for suit on note. A default judgement was issued.
•LVNV Funding LLC vs. Ana Pitts for breach of contract. Case continued pending consent.
•First Franklin Financial Corporation vs. Gary Walker for suit on account. A consent judgement was issued.
A criminal and civil session was held May 30 in Magistrate Court with the following results:
Criminal
•State of Georgia vs. Dwyane Jones—held in abeyance for failure to provide humane care and cruelty to animals on three counts.
•State of Georgia vs. Kristin Scoggins—for interference with custody, first or second conviction. No warrant to issue; no probable cause.
Civil
Staci Rae vs. Julie Garcia—suit for damages. Consent ordered for $2,018 with $200 per month beginning July 2025 via Cashapp.
Capital One vs. Kallie Sears x2—breach of contract. Consent ordered for $2,467 and $1,545.
Laqwacia Simpkins DBA AMSimpkins & Associates vs. Erica Johnson & Farm Fresh Catered LLC—breach of contract. Plaintiff’s claim dismissed and judgement in favor of defendant’s counterclaim of $1,387.
Security Credit Services LLC vs. Chris Gray—breach of contract. Default judgement for $5,755 in principal.
Crown Asset Management LLC vs Ellen Bales—suit on contract. Consent for $806.
Carey Leggett vs. Jeff and Jennifer Reynolds—dispossessory. Writ issued for June 6, $1,284 money judgement and $101 court costs. Counter claim denied.
