Chris Jenkins Is Athletic Director of the Year

Jasper County High School athletic director Chris Jenkins has been named Region 4AA Athletic Director (AD) of the Year by the Georgia High School Association.
Each year, the athletic directors in each region vote on the AD that has been the most supportive of all teams and shown outstanding cooperation and sportsmanship, and this year, Coach Jenkins received that award.
He is the head baseball and softball coach at JCHS, where he also teaches weight training. He was a varsity football assistant for four years before taking over the softball program.
Coach Jenkins earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and his master’s degree from Troy University.
The AD and his wife, Amanda, who teaches physical education at Jasper County Primary School, have four children in the Jasper County Schools. He has taught at JCHS for 11 years.
