Ella Ruth “Pam” Peacock
Ella Ruth “Pam” Peacock died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.
“Pam” as she was affectionately known to many was born on June 3, 1959 in Monticello to the late Howard Peacock and Mrs. Lillie Kate Howard Peacock of Shady Dale. She was a humble, caring and loving person who always kept a smile onher face. She enjoyed listening to music and fishing. She lovingly lived her life through her family and friends. She was known for drinking every Coca-Cola drink in the house.
Ms. Peacock was preceded in death by a daughter, Latisha Peacock, and a brother, Arthur Peacock.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Henry Jeramian Peacock of Monticello; five sisters, Barbara Peacock Henderson Johnson of Rutledge, Lillie Mae Peacock of Jackson, Annie L. Stokes of Lithonia, Angie Lee Peacock Smith of Shady Dale, and Linda D. Peacock Horton of Covington; a brother, Donald Peacock of Newborn, and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were held at New Prospect Liberty C.M.E. Church on Hwy. 11 North in Monticello with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Akono Ekundayo, pastor, officiated.
Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 923 Funderburg Drive, Monticello, was in charge of arrangements.
