Former Local Doctor Charged with Molestation

Kenny Wyatt Blake, 51, of Acworth has been charged with child molestation for an offense that allegedly took place at an address on Post Road in 2009.

Dr. Blake turned himself into the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning, and was released on a $20,000 bond later that day. The warrant was taken Monday by Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Rhiannon Morgan, and signed by Superior Court Judge Trenton Brown, III.

The warrant reads that the accused did commit the offense of child molestation when he performed immoral and indecent acts with a female child who was under the age of 16 years with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires of Blake—basically the same as each child molestation warrant reads.

The offense allegedly took place between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009.

Dr. Blake practiced medicine in Monticello for many years, leaving the area last year to be closer to family.

In other action, the JCSO announced the arrest of Matthew Guy Stephenson, 28, David Blake Ramey, 22, and John Thomas Hilley, 18, all of Jasper County, on Saturday, Jan. 11, and charged with criminal trespass and theft by taking at a property on Thomason Road.

The arrests came as a result of two citizens, after observing the three on property adjacent to theirs, contacted the property owner to find out they did not have permission to be on the property, after which the JCSO was contacted. Upon arrival on the scene by a deputy the JCSO, it was reported the three had been in the process of stealing a metal culvert and were immediately arrested.
