Robert A. ‘Daddy Bob’ Clark
Robert A. “Daddy Bob” Clark, 70, died December 10, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Clark was born in Montgomery, Ala. to the late Lloyd Basil Clark and the late Marjorie McElrath Clark.
He was a retired truck driver for Keen Transport and a veteran of the United States Navy where he was a Navy Seal. He had prevoiusly worked for Dexter Axle in Monticello. At one time he truly loved to fish and go on vacation in the family recreation vehicle but his children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren were his life.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 39 years Colleen Briscoe Clark; seven children, Patti Lane Dyer of Warner Robins, Karen Lane Green and Mary Ann Lane, both of Lizella, Keith Clark and Kelly Clark Harris, both of Forsyth, Jim Lane of Bonaire, and Kenneth Clark of High Falls; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Neil Clark of Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Kell Clark and his step-mother Leila Clark.
A service to celebrate “Daddy Bob’s” life was held on December 12 in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Macon. Interment followed at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
His son, Pastor Jim Lane, and Pastor Lee Griffin officiated. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) Foundation, 8330 Ward Parkway, Suite 510, Kansas City, MO 64114.
