Mrs. Mary Will Milton

Mrs. Mary Will Milton, 97, died January 2, 2014.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 4 in the chapel of Smith and Sons Funeral Home with burial in South View cemetery. Pastor Donna Marie Calix officiated.

Mrs. Milton was born May 29, 1916 to the late Will Benn and Lemma Benn in Jasper County.

She was educated in Jasper County and joined St. James A.M.E. Church where she was an active member for many years.

In addition to her parents, her only son, Willie Ed Buckner, and brother, Joe Henry, preceded her in death.

She loved taking care of her extended family. She was a gentle, caring person who loved young children.

Her memories will be cherished by extended family members, Marietta Kelly Moore, Corbitt Kelly, Elizabeth, Bo, Matt, and Tom Kelly, cousins, friends, and the St. James A.M.E. Church family.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
