Boys, Girls ‘Canes Are 4-3

The Monticello Hurricane varsity basketball teams were both 4-3 headed into last Friday’s home game versus the Greene County Tigers.

The varsity boys claimed a 61-57 region win over Taylor County on December 13. That victory was followed up with another 71-65 non-region win at Jones County.

The teams hosted G.M.C. last Tuesday. The Lady Canes posted a victory while the Canes lost.

Both squads are scheduled to compete in the Union Grove Tournament Friday, Dec. 27 through Monday, Dec. 30.
