‘Canes Win Hurricane Duals

The Mat Canes placed first when they hosted the Hurricane Duals two day tournament that wrapped up on December 14, beating out Northside Macon, Northeast Macon, Jones County, Perry and GMC.

Placing first were freshman Nile Alhasi at 106 weight class, sophomore Harley Alter at 113 and senior Emery Cline at 132.

Placing second were freshman Cameron Gentry at 120, senior Justin Bradley at 126, senior Tristan Harper at 145, sophomore Payton Hardwood at 152, sophomore Nick Harris at 160, senior Dean Smith at 170, sophomore Tyler Seawright at 195 and sophomore Chris Anglin at 220.

Placing third were junior Austin Wood at 138 and freshman Austin Peek at 285. The Mat ’Canes were to take on Pike County and Jones County yesterday, Dec. 18, and the alumni were to be honored that night. Action was set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
