More Arrests Made from Fight at Center
This past week the Monticello Police Department (MPD) arrested four individuals who had arrest warrants issued on them with charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and participation in criminal gang activity, all resulting from the incident at the “Center” on Hwy. 11 South, as reported in The News in the September 26 issue.
Arrested were Timothy Lynwood, Jr., Willie Lee McGuire, III, Demarcus Arkell Sands, all of Monticello, and Samuel Baron Ross, Jr., of Macon.
Originally arrested on the same charges after the incident of September 19-20, were Quan Dameon Middlebrooks, Sheldon Umekus Carter, Quincy Terrell Sands, Clayton Elisha Beasley, Jr., and Dane Michael Christiano. This past Tuesday, October 22, Mr. Christiano was granted a $20,000 bond in Superior Court.
Since that time a warrant was issued for the arrest of Antonio Gude for the same three charges, however on October 3 an order to dismiss the warrant against Mr. Gude due to mistaken identity was issued, and a new warrant was issued for the arrest of Marquavian Gude on the same three charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and participation in criminal gang activity.
On October 17, a warrant on the same three charges was also issued for the arrest of Noah Jackson, making a total of 11 individuals who have been charged in the incident.
Also during the period of October 15-22 the MPD reported the following additional arrests:
•Jarvis Lamar Carter, 23, Monticello—probation violation.
•Teri Lynn Tyler, 57, Monticello—interference with government property, probation violation, seat belt violation, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving while license suspended or revoked.

During this same period officers with the MPD responded to 50 calls for service including 11 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, five each alarm and escort or convoy, and four subject needs officer.
Also, two each fight, accident, fall, crowd disbursement, juvenile complaint, private property and argument, one each speeding auto, livestock on road, intoxicated pedestrian, mental person, unconscious, repossession of vehicle, assist invalid, electrical wires down, music/noise complaint, stroke and attempt to serve warrant.
In other crime related information, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported on an incident which was reported on October 15 that indicated a theft had taken place at a residence on Jefferies Road in North Jasper County, in which a fireplace, an air conditioner and furnace and a kitchen sink were stolen.

Also, during the same period as mentioned above the JCSO reported the following arrests:
•Christopher Everett Head, 36, Monticello—probation violation.
•Carey Sands, 44, Monticello—child support.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 154 calls for service including 49 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 16 subject need officer, 12 accident, eight mechanical break down, six each assist motorist and checking location, four each alarm, theft by taking and juvenile complaint.
Also, three each livestock on road, escort or convoy and discharge firearms, two each dog disturbance, pickup prisoner/subject, deliver emergency message, welfare check, private property, argument, sex offender check and abandoned vehicle.
Also, one each courtesy ride, fire, mental person, be on the look out, unconscious, miscellaneous ems, repossession of vehicle, child abuse/molestation, assault, electrical wires down, possible suicide, music/noise complaint, vandalism of property, road hazard license check/road block and attempt to serve warrant.
Also during this period, the Georgia State Patrol reported the arrest of Eloy Nunez Avellaneda, 35, of Monticello, and charged him with driving with no license.
