Cecil Eugene Davis

Cecil Eugene Davis, 71, of Monticello, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Davis was born in Ashville, N.C. to the late James Walter Davis, Jr. and Faye Lee Davis. He lived in Gwinnett County for a number of years before moving to Monticello in 2001. Before retirement, he worked as a heating and air conditioning inspector for the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners.

Mr. Davis belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Porterdale. Above all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Brown Davis of Monticello; daughter and son-in-law, Ana Davis Palmer and Sonny Palmer of Monticello; sons and daughter-in-law, Adam and Megan McGinnis Davis of Mansfield, and Andrew Davis of Monticello; granddaughter, Abigail Palmer of Monticello.

A memorial service will be held in Black Mountain, N.C. at a later date.
