Fitz Roy Wilmot
Fitz Roy Wilmot, 82, died April 16, 2013.
Mr. Wilmot was born on May 21, 1931 in St. Mary, Jamaica West Indies to the late Miriam Smith-Wilmot and the late Mr. Wilmot.
Mr. Wimot grew up in St. Mary where he remained until completing high school. He later moved to United States in mid 1960s.
Mr. Wilmot was well known for his strong work ethic, remaining at his place of employment as a plant worker in New York City until his retirement. He was committed to his fellow church members and family. He was always eager to provide support when needed. He was an avid reader of the Holy Bible and enjoyed interpreting scripture.
Among his favorite biblical quotes were: Ephesians 2:8. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.; Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” and John 14:6, “Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Survivors include his wife, Joan Wilmot of Mansfield; two sons; Michael Wilmot of St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies and Terrence Wilmot, of Loganville; a sister, Blondell Henry, of St. Mary, Jamaica WI; and a brother Henry Wilmot, of St. Mary, Jamaica WI.
Funeral services are schedueled for Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Loganville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 164 Church Street, Loganville, GA 30052.
