Piedmont Boys Soccer Defeats Trinity
Led by a five-goal performance by Nick Adamczyk, the Piedmont Academy boys soccer team defeated visiting Trinity 5-1 Monday night.
The win improved the Piedmont boys to 6-5 overall. The Cougars are now 4-2 in region play.
The Lady Cougars weren’t as fortunate Monday dropping a 4-2 decision to Trinity. The Middle School Lady Cougars also fell 5-0.
Prior to Monday’s matches, the Piedmont Academy soccer teams hosted John Milledge Friday. The varsity girls earned a 3-0 win powered by two goals from Jordan Blackmon and one from Heather Tyer.
The varsity boys fell to John Milledge 3-2 as Adamczyk scored both goals.

Piedmont traveled to Monsignor Donovan last Thursday as the varsity boys earned a 5-3 victory behind two goals and three assists by Adamczyk. Malik Reid also scored two goals while Austin Bass added one.
The Lady Cougars fell 5-0 to Monsignor Donovan.
On April 9, Piedmont traveled to Macon to face Mt. De Sales. The varsity boys were defeated 7-0 while the Lady Cougars dropped a 5-0 non-region contest.
In Middle School action, the Lady Cougars fell to John Milledge 3-0 and Mt. De Sales 7-0.
Piedmont will host Gatewood Thursday with Middle School action beginning at 5 p.m. followed by varsity matches at 6 p.m.
