JV Cougars Lose to John Milledge

Piedmont Academy’s junior varsity baseball team was back in action Monday against John Milledge.

The JV Cougars fell 7-4 to visiting JMA as Noah Quick, Alan Powell and Mike Weatherly handled the pitching duties for Piedmont.

Weatherly worked 2.2 innings allowing two hits and three walks. He recorded one strikeout. Powell also had one strikeout against JMA. At the plate, Quick was 1-for-1 with a run scored and RBI while Mack Brady was 1-for-1 with a run.

Weatherly finished with an RBI with Wyatt Galloway going 1-for-2 with an RBI. Clay Kirkpatrick finished 1-for-2 with a run scored while Zach Mooney finished 1-for-2 at the plate. The JV Cougars return to action Monday on the road against the Middle Georgia Patriots at 4:30 p.m.
