Grant Awarded

The Jasper County High School football program received a $12,000 grant from the Muscle Milk Recovery Grant program during a presentation at the school.

The students on hand to witness the presentation included football players, managers, and coaches, along with Superintendent Mike Newton, Principal Robyn Mullis and Assistant Principal Pam Edge. A number of parents and football supporters were there for the presentation as well.

John Paradine, with CytoSport was hopeful and positive about the distribution of funds and said that he “can not wait to see what good the money does in this program that is already great.”

Those students in attendance included Chris Anglin, Austin Blankenship, Jamaric Bonner, DaJuwan Bostic, Terrence Brown, Chad Cain, Joseph Caldwell, Jacob Cavender, Tyler Cooper, Bryce Crawford, John Davis, Thomas Deraney, T.J. Farley, alex Garcia, Cain Gonzales, Xavier Gude, Nick Harris, Chase Helms, Matthew Hollis, Jacob Hooser, Tra Jackson, Kelly Jaramilo, De’Lantrez Johnson, Trevor Lynwood, Julius Matchett, and Walt McMichael.

Also, Jakari Middlebrooks, Justin Mitchem, Tyler Mote, Jamari Myrick, Qua Thurmond, Austin Roberts, Jaylin Sands, Garrett Scroggs, Tyler Seawright, Justin Smith, Qunicy Standifer, Jordan Stewart, Jordan Stone, Lane Thomas, Garrison Williams, Gavin Williams, Dustin Womack, Hernan Bautista, Brandi McMichael, Meagan Roberts, and Regan Duke. Also Coach Buddy Cain, and Athletic Director Chris Jenkins.
