Probation Is Revoked; Man to Serve Five Years
On Tuesday, March 18 in Jasper Superior Court, with Judge James L. Cline, Jr., presiding, William J. Wilson, who was on probation for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school in May, 2011, was found to have violated his probation by the new charges of failure to report, failure to pay fines and fees, possession of meth and battery. Mr. Wilson was sentenced to five years in prison with credit for time served since May 16, 2011.
Five other probation revocation cases were processed with results as follows:

•Marquis Jackson, who was on probation for possession of cocaine in March, 2008, was found to have violated his probation by the new charges of testing positive for marijuana and cocaine. Mr. Jackson was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served and upon release ordered to enter and complete an out-patient drug treatment program, and upon completion be returned to regular probation.
•Christopher Fowler, Jr., who was on probation for burglary in April, 2012, was found to have violated his probation by the new charge of possession of marijuana. Mr. Fowler was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail suspended upon entry into a detention center to serve 120-180 days and upon release be returned to regular probation.
•Jeff E. White, Jr., who was on probation for theft by taking and theft by receiving in November, 2012, was found to have violated his probation by the new charges of failure to pay fines and fees and possession of meth. Mr. White was sentenced to 541 days in the county jail, suspended after serving 90 days and paying $518.
•Timothy D. Rogers, who was on probation for aggravated assault in November, 2012, was found to have violated his probation by the new charges of failure to report, failure to pay fines and fees and criminal damage to property. Mr. Rogers was sentenced to 94 days in the county jail with suspension of all fines and fees and terminating the case thereafter.
•James B. McDonald, who was on probation for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while license suspended and criminal trespass in February, 2012, was found to have violated his probation by the new charges of failure to report, failure to pay fines and fees, criminal damage to property, battery and reckless conduct. Mr. McDonald was sentenced to 37 days in the county jail with suspension of all fines and fees and termination of the case thereafter.
Also, Senior Lynwood, Jr., plead guilty to two counts of obstruction of officers and disorderly conduct. Mr. Lynwood was sentenced to 24 months to be served on probation with credit for time served since December 27, 2012, and fines and fees of $765.
