Three Are Busted for Drugs

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office executed at search warrant at 181 Herring Gull Court on Tuesday, March 5, and agents recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales and smoking devices.
Arrested were Kristen Rogers, 32, of Monticello, who was charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Also arrested was Brandon Herndon, 20, of Monticello for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana and Jeff White, 19, of Covington, who was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

In other crime news this week, another gun theft was reported to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) when a resident on Crossing Drive reported the theft of a Taurus 357 magnum revolver.
The hand gun was described as nickel plated, with a four inch bull barrel and having Pachmyer grips.
Other recent crime incidents reported by the JCSO include the following.

•On February 28 a resident on West Mourning Dove in Turtle Cove reported the theft of 2 mg Clonazepam tablets.
•On February 26 a resident on McElheney Crossings Road reported the theft of a Kendal Fire HD.
•On February 15 a resident on Edwards Road reported the theft of a Stihl chain saw model number 4400 and a steel bucket.
Also, during the period of February 26 through March 5 the JCSO reported the following arrests:
•Marcus Mandrell Campbell, 32, Monticello—simple battery, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and probation violation.
•Timothy Dewayne Rogers, 33, Monticello—criminal damage to property in the first degree, aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the third degree.
•Allen Michael Humphries, 21, Covington—probation violation.
•Amberly Shea Rose, 33, Covington—Jasper County Probate Court failure to appear.
•Jacky Wilburn Reagin, 29, Newborn—hold for warrant in Newton County.
•Joshua Daniel Roquemore, 33, Barnesville—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Michael Paul Stout, 28, Social Circle—probation violation.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 281 calls for service including 165 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 11 alarm, nine mechanical breakdown, eight subject needs officer, seven each theft by taking and checking location, six domestic, five each assist motorist, accident, and pick up prisoner/subject, four abandoned vehicle, three each escort or convoy, trouble unknown and threatening/harassing calls, two each prowler report, courtesy ride, intoxicated driver, welfare check, discharge firearms, argument and persons refuse to leave, one each fight, livestock or road, fire/vehicle, special detail, be on the lookout assault, deliver emergency message, extra patrol, child custody case, juvenile complaint, music/noise complaint, trespassing, fraud/theft by deceiving, seizure, 911 hang up and identity fraud/theft.
Also during this period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported arresting Terrell Eugene Bryant, 46, of Hampton, and charging him with driving while license suspended or revoked.
In addition, during this period officers with the MPD responded to 57 calls for service including 14 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, six each alarm and escort or convoy, four subject needs officer, three mechanical break down, two private property, one each fight, burglary, domestic, speeding auto, accident, intoxicated driver, intoxicated pedestrian, direct traffic, theft by taking, welfare check, four wheeler, counterfeit, trouble unknown, property found, shoplifter, person refuse to leave sick, 911 hang up and identity fraud/theft.
